We chose this scene from "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" because this movie gave us so much nostalgia since we grew up watching it. This scene from the movie was one of our favorite scenes all together and many kids from our generation have tried to recreate it on social media, so we wanted a chance to try to recreate the scene, especially since we had all the resources that we needed from being in this class. Most of the time whenever we film, we try to film at one of our houses so it can be easier and we won't have to stay longer at school than we needed to. But once we realized that we needed to do this scene in school, we realized how much easier it was to be able to film. The experience of filming this was much more fun since we got to get a lot of our friends to be in it and there were many scenes where people were running. We also learned a better way to put a voice over on our recordings, since in this scene one of the characters was narrating the story about the "cheese touch".
Creating the cheese was also a fun experience. It was the first film where we had to create a prop and we realized how easy it was and it was also great practice of making props for our film opening. Since in our film opening we want to create many things as props. The editing for this film was also harder than our other films that we had done and it was great practice for transitions since we want to make transitions in our film opening.
Being able to get one of our friends mom allow us to film her car driving away wasn't as hard that we thought it would be. Her cooperation with it was amazing, especially since my partners and I didn't have cars of our own. We didn't do many takes of her driving away because we didn't want to waste her to and also because it was an easy shot to do. Overall, the experience of recreating the "cheese touch" scene from "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" was very fun.
