The Process of Making Our Film Opening
Blog #12: While creating our film opening, we had many decisions to make. Our screenplay that we had created prior to actually recording wasn't set in stone, since we all didn't have much time to create our screenplay and it was hard for all of us to collaborate for it. So we began on filming the scene with the two girls since we were very iffy about what we were going to do with our detective scene. We knew we wanted to make a transition of a picture of the suspect, to her being seated at the coffee shop with her friend. So, when we were filming our scene with the two teenager girls having a conversation we knew the gist of what we wanted to say, but we didn't want to the conversation to sound scripted. So, we let our actors to improv their conversation while still being able to keep with the plot of the film. We did have problems filming this part of the opening though.
